Pennsylvania School for The Deaf is a day school that provides services for children from birth to fifteen-years-old with hearing impairments using a total communication approach.

Overview

This day school provides services to students' birth – 15 years with hearing impairments. It uses a total communication approach. Services include early intervention, preschool, elementary and junior high school academic programs. Its curriculum includes development of receptive and expressive language, academic and social skills and an array of communication accessible support services (speech and language, audiology, psychoeducational, counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy, health and social services). With Pennsylvania Department of Education and school district approval, tuition and transportation are covered.
