Caregiver guilt is very common, in this training we discuss how caregiver guilt impacts us and what we can do about it.
Overview
Caregiving is difficult. In fact, a 2021 survey by the national movement ARCHANGELS found that 44 percent of caregivers using CaringBridge (a free online journal & sharing platfom for caregivers) rated themselves as “super-stressed.” Part of the emotional stress that caregivers experience includes feelings of not doing enough, not making the right decision, and more… such feelings relate to caregiver guilt. You may feel guilty for considering placing your loved one into a residential program or taking time to care for yourself. Caregiver guilt is very common and, at the end of the day, it’s an emotion that highlights just how much you care. In this training we discuss how caregiver guilt impacts us and what we can do about it.
