The Communication Mentors' Network is available to assist anyone regarding Assistive Technology (AT), Augmentative / Alternative Communication (AAC), communication issues, accessibility concerns, and more! More specifically, we can provide assessments with people who have limited or unrecognized communication methods to explore possible systems and strategies to be more fully expressive, recommendations of devices, supports, adaptations, & accommodations for people in need of upgrading their current communication systems, techniques, & strategies, group and individualized training in current trends and options in AAC and AT, help with accommodations and adaptations for easier and fuller computer use, exploration of adaptations or accommodations to your home, school, or work for more independence, on-site ADA assessments (both individualized consultation services and full detail site surveys) regarding home, school, or work accessibility per Title II and Title III of the ADA, consultation regarding your website regarding accessibility, usability, and customer friendliness, and assistance to teams in finding ways to make communication a more common and natural part of the person's life, increasing choice and opportunities for community involvement.
